Naruto (ナ ル ト) is a series of Masashi Kishimoto's manga
were adapted into anime series. Naruto manga series revolves around the life of the main character, Naruto Uzumaki, a hyperactive ninja, jovial, and ambitious who wants to fulfill his desire to get the title of Hokage, the leader and the strongest ninja in his village. The series is based on a one-shot comic by Kishimoto that was published in the issue of Akamaru Jump in August 1997.
Naruto manga was first published in Japan by Shueisha in 1999 in the 43rd edition of Shonen Jump magazine. In Indonesia, the manga is published by Elex Media Komputindo. The popularity and the length of the Naruto series itself (especially in Japan) rival Dragon Ball by Akira Toriyama, while the Naruto anime series, produced by Studio Pierrot and Aniplex, first broadcast in Japan by TV Tokyo network and also by satellite television network special anime, such as Animax and other television stations, on October 3, 2002 until now. The first series consisted of nine seasons and lasted 220 episodes. The first season of the second series began airing on February 15, 2007. In Indonesia alone, Naruto anime ever broadcast by television station Trans TV, which is then further aired by Global TV. In addition to the anime series, Studio Pierrot has developed eight movies for the series and several original video animation (OVA). Other types of merchandise include light novels, video games and collectible cards developed by several companies.
Viz Media has licensed the manga and anime for North American production. Viz has been publishing the series in their magazines, that Shonen Jump, as well as several volumes. The anime series began airing in the United States and Canada in 2005, and later in the United Kingdom and Australia in 2006 and 2007. The film, as well as most OVAs from the series have also been released by Viz, with premieres in theaters. The first DVD volume of Naruto: Shippuden was released by Viz in North America on September 29, 2009, and began to broadcast on Disney XD in October of the same year. Naruto Shippuden aired on Adult Swim, Toonami in January 2014. Viz Media began streaming the series on the streaming service Neon Alley them in December 2012.
